George Stratts

George Stratts is President and Chief Executive Officer of Lexington Insurance Company, AIG’s Excess and Surplus (E&S) division. 

He is responsible for leading and growing all facets of the Lexington franchise, including implementing business and distribution strategies, promoting innovation, and delivering specialized and market-leading capabilities to clients and brokers in this important segment.

Mr. Stratts has been a leader in the insurance industry for over 25 years. His experience includes building diverse and global commercial property teams. His technical expertise spans all lines of property and marine insurance in both regulated and non-regulated markets. 

Prior to this role, Mr.  Stratts served as the President of AIG’s Property and Specialty Risk Division, responsible for establishing underwriting and claims strategy, managing operations, and the quality and profitability of AIG’s commercial and energy property insurance businesses as well as its marine, aerospace, credit lines, and portfolio solutions business worldwide.  

Mr. Stratts joined AIG’s property and casualty operations in 1999 as Regional Property Executive for Eastern Risk Specialists, Inc. and has held various roles of increasing responsibility including President and CEO of AIG’s global marine and energy division, Executive Vice President at Lexington Insurance Company, and Vice President at AIU Holdings’ property/casualty group.

Prior to joining AIG, Mr. Stratts was responsible for driving property and marine-related businesses at Chubb Corp. in Philadelphia, London, Chicago, and San Francisco. 

Mr. Stratts is an executive sponsor of AIG’s diversity initiatives and serves on a number of committees established to support the acquisition, development, and retention of talent. He is an advisor to the board of directors for AIG Europe Ltd.
