President and Chief Executive Officer
Lexington Insurance Company

President and Chief Executive Officer Jeremy Johnson brings more than 20 years of industry expertise to Lexington Insurance Company - and an innovative approach and focus that aligns with the organization’s vision and ability to innovate change.

"Lexington’s strength is its unique, demonstrated ability to respond to client needs and the complex risks that continue to shape this niche market," he explains. "As a leader, directing a team that not only understands and anticipates the dynamic ever-changing nature of the industry but delivers cutting edge solutions that meet client needs is inspiring."

"My goal is to further enhance Lexington’s position as the nation’s foremost Excess & Surplus Lines platform," he says.

Jeremy joined AIG in 2000 and has extensive experience overseeing specialized teams that work with customers and brokers to insure large complex risks. This is reflected in his most recent role as Specialty Product Line Executive, U.S. & Canada, for AIG Property Casualty, directing business lines such as aerospace, marine, environmental, SME, trade credit, political risk, and surety. "There’s always a solution for these hard-to-place risks," Jeremy says. "Being successful in this arena stems from teamwork, talent, passion and expertise."

He has served in several executive leadership roles including President of Cat Excess Liability, a division of Lexington Insurance Company and as AIG Executive for Energy Excess Casualty. Jeremy has also held positions of increasing responsibility in underwriting, sales and marketing, including Regional Vice President for Commercial Property Casualty, MidAtlantic Region and various leadership roles in the Boston Office of AIG Property Casualty.

Prior to joining AIG, Mr. Johnson was a director and officers liability broker for Sedgwick, Inc. and Marsh, Inc.

When not guiding Lexington’s talent, pace and reputation in the marketplace, Jeremy enjoys spending time with his wife, sons and daughter. He holds a BA degree in law from Oxford University.
